I did not see much of the place, as i was in bed nearly all the time. It was when I was wounded. I was there three weeks before being sent home here to England. le treport is a seaside resort, its a long way from the firing line , We were about 12 hours in the hospital train coming down from near Poperinghe, where I was in the casualty clearing station. Some badly cut about too, Well I am safe in old Blighty now, I thought from the very first when i was hit that I would get across the pond something seemed to tell me I would.
